The Collision Repair Education Foundation, with locations in Memphis, has been distinguished by the Tennessee Board of Regents with the esteemed 2024 Philanthropy Award. This award acknowledges those who contribute positively towards change through their financial contributions, advocacy, and voluntary service.
St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital has appointed a new chair of its Diagnostic Imaging Department, Andrew Smith. Smith, a nationally recognized academic radiologist, excels in body and oncologic imaging, clinical trials, imaging research, and the application of artificial intelligence (AI) in imaging and medicine. Smith has a stellar career history with the University of Alabama at Birmingham, where he previously held several vital roles.
Omari Faulkner, Chief Executive Officer and President of Blue Fire Fed LLC, has seen a significant career landmark as he has been appointed to the Virginia Veterans Services Foundation Board of Trustees by Virginia Governor, Glenn Youngkin. Faulkner is not just an active member of the U.S. Navy Reserve; his experience spans over ten years advocating for various military-related causes. This appointment arrives on the heels of his receipt of the 2023 Veteran Champions of the Year in Corporate America recognition from G.I. Jobs Magazine.
The Downtown Memphis Commission has selected Milton Howery III as their new Vice President of Marketing, Communications, and Events. With over 18 years of experience in his field, Howery will use his expertise to oversee the roll-out of strategic marketing and communication endeavors, as well as bolster Downtown Memphis by planning and supporting events.
Memphis Bar Foundation Inducts New Fellows
The Memphis Bar Foundation has announced its newest fellows; four shareholders from Lewis Thomason’s Memphis office. These prestigious inductees include Natalie Bursi, Samantha Bennett, Laura Deakins, and Nicholas Vescovo. Selection for this honor is based upon one’s commitment to the legal profession, demonstrates distinguished service to the administration of justice, and upholds high standards of professional ethics and personal conduct.

In a notable accomplishment that places a high value on enhanced patient outcomes, Saint Francis Hospital-Memphis has earned accreditation from The Accreditation Committee of the College of American Pathologists (CAP). This achievement is resultant from a recent site visit as part of CAP’s Accreditation programs. Being CAP-accredited is indicative of impressive quality control and risk mitigation, which are paramount in contributing to improved patient experiences. Saint Francis-Memphis now stands tall among more than 8,000 other CAP-accredited facilities globally.
