The altercation took place in Berclair’s Gaisman Park near the community pool. The perpetrators remain at large and are currently sought after by MPD.

Memphis police were immediately dispatched to Gaisman Park’s public pool located at 4223, Macon Road, following the report of the shooting. Built on initial ambiguities, the incident was first reported as a domestic altercation that had ended on a bloody note. An adult male was found with a conspicuous gunshot injury, instigating the police to carry out a thorough search for the suspects in the vicinity.

The authorities initially stated that one male was taken into custody in relation to the shooting. However, they refrained from providing definitive information about the condition of the shooting victim. The emphasis, for them, was primarily on tracing the suspects.
