Hey there, Cordova residents! Big news is buzzing around town as one of the largest architecture firms in the area, A2H Engineers Architects Planners, is packing its bags and moving to a shiny new location. That’s right; after spending more than 17 years at their home in Lakeland, this talented group is heading to a bigger office in Cordova by the spring of next year.
A2H has set its sights on a fantastic new space measuring a whopping 27,000 square feet. Located at 65 Germantown Court, this new office will be perched right on the southeast corner of Germantown Parkway and Walnut Grove Road, just a stone’s throw away from the beautiful Shelby Farms Park. Talk about a perfect spot!
This new locale also currently houses the local office for Oklahoma-based Flintco, a general contractor you might have heard of. A2H’s new office will be a sublease of the third floor, giving them plenty of room to spread out and conduct their important work. After all, who doesn’t love a bit of extra space?
Now, let’s talk numbers. Right now, A2H boasts a team of 94 local employees, and with this exciting move, the firm anticipates expanding its workforce by an impressive 20–25%. That’s right; they’re planning to grow even bigger! Logan Meeks, the president of A2H, shared the enthusiasm, saying, “This new office will enable A2H to grow, allowing us to serve our clients and community while attracting top talent to join our team.” We love to hear that kind of positivity!
This move isn’t happening in a vacuum, though. Cordova’s office market has been heating up since the summer. For instance, the former offices of The Commercial Appeal are getting ready for an auction in December, and Monogram Foods is making a big leap from East Memphis to Crosstown. Even BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee has closed a chapter by selling off its old building to local investors as they settle into a fresh space downtown. It seems like the whole area is bustling with activity!
If you’re eager to stay in the loop about all things business-related in the Memphis metro area, consider signing up for local newsletters that deliver the latest updates right to your inbox. Who wouldn’t want a daily scoop on what’s happening?
And speaking of local connections, don’t miss out on the third event in an exciting editorial series designed for business leaders. The focus is all about making Memphis prosper. Together, we can make a difference and contribute positively to our community!
So, as we wave goodbye to A2H’s old office in Lakeland, let’s get ready to welcome them with open arms to Cordova! Here’s to new beginnings, growth, and exciting opportunities ahead!
