Get ready, Germantown! The *Germantown Performing Arts Center (GPAC)* is thrilled to announce its star-studded lineup for the 2025-2026 season, featuring a delightful mix of jazz, rock, and funk that is sure to light up the stage.
The iconic Herbie Hancock, celebrated not just for his jazz genius but also for his contributions to funk and rock, is set to perform on October 18, 2025. This will be his second appearance at GPAC, and fans couldn’t be more excited to welcome him back. Hancock’s vibrant music and sophisticated style promise an unforgettable evening.
The upcoming season includes an impressive array of other talented acts. Kicking off the season on September 27, 2025, is Broadway star Sutton Foster, who is returning to her roots in a homecoming performance. Foster’s long-time ties to GPAC make this show an extra special event for fans.
Mark your calendars, as the Center Stage Series will also feature the amazing Vitamin String Quartet on November 1, 2025, and the incredible finalists from “America’s Got Talent,” Catapult, on November 25, 2025. If you are a fan of soulful sounds and vibrant music, you won’t want to miss the January 31, 2026, event titled “Withers to Wonder,” celebrating the legendary songs of Bill Withers and Stevie Wonder, featuring stunning performances from Take 6, Clint Holmes, and Nnenna Freelon.
The Center Stage Series will continue with the Yonder Mountain String Band on February 13, 2026, followed by a mesmerizing presentation by the Japanese music ensemble Drum Tao on March 1, 2026. The renowned South African group Ladysmith Black Mambazo will take the stage on March 20, 2026, bringing their culturally rich sound to the GPAC audience.
The Jazz Series opens with the spectacular Elaine Elias, a Brazilian pianist and singer, performing on October 4, 2025. Following Herbie Hancock, the series will showcase the incredible bassist Marcus Miller on November 15, 2025. Experience the unique sounds of the Nashville jazz-soul artist, Kandace Springs, on February 21, 2026, and enjoy an exhilarating swing performance by The Hot Sardines on March 14, 2026. The talented trombonist and vocalist Wycliffe Gordon will wrap up the series with a performance on April 25, 2026.
