Sip through Memphis’ Beer Scene with City Brew Tours

In the heart of Memphis, the city’s burgeoning beer culture takes a frothy leap forward with the advent of City Brew Tours – an all-inclusive brewery expedition experience. With a catchy motto, “You Drink. We Drive”, the tour showcases Memphis’ rich assortment of breweries and promises to quench the thirst of beer lovers and enthusiasts.

Indulge in a Beery Adventure

Offering two alternatives, visitors get to choose between three or four-brewery expedition. Each option provides guests with the opportunity to sample an array of beers at each stop, with the additional advantage of behind-the-scene tours and insight from the brewers themselves. This exciting new tour service is spearheaded by lifelong Memphian and fervent beer enthusiast, Brian Thompson.

On each tour, guests assemble at The Peabody Hotel downtown and hop on the cheerfully named ‘Flagon Wagon’. The selection of breweries visited on each tour varies, adding an element of suspense and excitement to the beer-loving community.

Getting into the Brew of Things

The blend of breweries visited on a recent tour included the Grind City Brewing, Cooper House Project, and Memphis Made. At Grind City, guests were treated to an engaging tour of the facility, providing insights into the beer brewing process while savoring an array of beers. As a warning to those embarking on this journey, be prepared to become a beer expert by the end of the tour.

The tour then proceeded to one of Memphis’ newest breweries in Cooper-Young, the Cooper House Project. Guests were able to enjoy more beers, this time paired with the delicious balance of wood-fired pizza, enhancing the overall refreshing experience.

A Memorable Experience

City Brew Tours delivers an experience that often exceeds people’s initial expectations. The tours are not only an adventurous exploration of local craft beer but also an exciting opportunity to understand the brewing process and meet like-minded beer lovers too.

The two primary tours offered are The Original Brew Tour and the Sip of Memphis Brew Tour. The former includes four stops and the latter three. The Sip of Memphis Brew Tour, offered more frequently, costs $69 per person which includes drive, beers, and snacks. Tours are offered from Thursday through Sunday and can accommodate up to 14 people. This experience is also available for private parties and group bookings.

Refreshing the Beer Scene

This new initiative adds a fresh twist to the beer scene in Memphis, making it an entertaining, educational, and engaging experience for locals and tourists alike. Next time you are in Memphis and wish to indulge your inner beer-lover, make sure to book your ride with City Brew Tours and soak in the beer-soaked journey the city has to offer.
