Celebrate Tennessee Whiskey Week in Memphis on May 20-25

Get ready to raise your glasses and toast to some of Tennessee’s finest spirits at the annual Tennessee Whiskey Week in Memphis, happening from May 20th – 25th. This event is a core part of a statewide month-long spectacle celebrating the culinary and cocktail communities in the region.

A Whiskey-Lover’s Dream

It’s noteworthy to mention that Memphis didn’t have a bona fide Tennessee Whiskey just a few years ago, something the state is synonymous with. That changed in 2022, when the Old Dominick Distillery debuted its first Straight Tennessee Whiskey, rekindling Memphis’ whiskey-making tradition since the prohibition era.

Participating Venues

This year, the city’s distillers, bars, and restaurants are going all out to ensure an unforgettable Tennessee Whiskey week. Below is a glimpse of what’s in store:

  • Bog & Barley will offer specials on cocktails with Old Dominick, PostModern & Blue Note, and a Spirits Pairing Dinner with Old Dominick, Blue Note and PostModern on May 23.
  • Celtic Crossing will serve a special cocktail dubbed “One Eleven,” which features Chattanooga Whiskey, amaretto, lemon, and more.
  • Cocozza American Italian will run the “Old Dominick Spritz Special” from Monday to Friday and host an “Old Dominick” Aperitivo Takeover on May 20, accompanied by spirits and snacks.
  • Hen House will provide a whiskey flight with Blue Note, Old Dominick and Nelson’s Green Brier.
  • Old Dominick will treat visitors to $7 signature Old Fashioneds and $5 off distillery tours.

Celebrating Tennessee’s Whiskey Heritage

The Tennessee Whiskey Week is an initiative of the Tennessee Whiskey Trail, a collective of over 30 Tennessee distillers committed to promoting whiskey tourism in the state. Across the week, whiskey enthusiasts will get to explore the rich history, art, and craft of whiskey-making in the region.

Whether you’re an avid whiskey lover or someone interested in discovering the allure of this age-old spirit, there’s no better place to celebrate the tried-and-true, amber-hued spirit than amidst the camaraderie and warmth of Memphis’ whiskey community.
