This journey has been nothing short of amazing for the talented singer, who is on Team Snoop Dogg!
Jeremy isn’t alone in the spotlight as the other finalists include Sofronio Vasquez, Sydney Sterlace, Shye, and Danny Joseph, who secured the coveted “Instant Save” on Tuesday. The competition is heating up, and all eyes are on these contestants as they gear up to battle it out for the crown in season 26 of “The Voice.” Mark your calendars because the thrilling final episodes will air on December 9 and 10, with the shows also available for streaming on Peacock the following day.
After being named a finalist, Jeremy shared a heartwarming moment with none other than Snoop Dogg himself. Snoop, a fan favorite, has displayed a genuine emotional connection to Jeremy’s performances throughout the competition. And right after the announcement, Snoop wrapped Jeremy in a huge hug, showing just how proud he is of this Memphis superstar!
Let’s talk about those performances! On Monday, Jeremy truly stole the show with his powerful rendition of the classic “I (Who Have Nothing)” by Tom Jones, which left all four judges leaping to their feet for a standing ovation. Even the always-charming Gwen Stefani could hardly contain her excitement, calling Jeremy a “rare vocalist.” She went on to praise him, saying, “There’s nothing, nobody like you. It’s almost like you’re too good to sing songs!”
In another electrifying moment, Jeremy teamed up with Team Bublé contestant Sofronio Vasquez to perform “Every Breath You Take” by The Police. And guess what? The legendary Sting, who wrote and originally performed the song, joined in as the show’s Mega Mentor, playing bass during their incredible performance!
Jeremy’s journey to fame has deep roots here in Memphis. He was raised in Bartlett, where he began his singing career at Ellendale Elementary and Appling Middle School. His passion for performance grew when he moved to Germantown and attended Briarcrest, where he became part of the talented One Voice singing group. They even competed on season 11 of “America’s Got Talent.”
Since his time at Briarcrest, Jeremy has dazzled local audiences with his performances at Theatre Memphis and Playhouse on the Square, and even had a memorable appearance at the Mid-South Fair.
