A Journey to Pool Ownership
Jaime bring a wealth of experience to her new venture. After spending two decades in franchise development with ServiceMaster, she has seen it all. “I worked with franchise owners all across the country to help identify issues and struggles and help them implement systems that ServiceMaster offered to fix their business,” she explained. After hanging up her ServiceMaster hat, she tried her hand at real estate with Coldwell Banker Collins-Maury. But there was still a lingering desire to own a business and fill a crucial gap in her local real estate market.
On one restless night, inspiration struck. Jaime stumbled upon a broker website where the local Pool Scouts franchise was up for grabs. “When the woman who had bought the business before me bought it, I thought, ‘Man, I wish I had seen that business. That is such a cool concept,'” she recalled, with her eyes alight. “I love the logo. I love all the things about the brand. It pops, and it’s really unique!” That was the moment she decided to take the plunge and buy the business with her husband, Billy.
Bringing Pools Back to Life
Since taking over in June, Jaime has been on fire, making significant changes to elevate her new business. She underscores the need for reliable pool care in the local real estate sector, explaining, “I’ve seen amazing pools. I’ve seen terrible pools. My whole real estate business is about the home. But, every time I had some pool issue come up, I felt like I was investigating it as a first-time situation.” That person could never figure it all out, leading to her belief that Pool Scouts could step in and fill that void.
This coming spring, Pool Scouts will provide full pool inspections tailored for the real estate market, helping potential homeowners ensure they are making sound investments. Jaime’s commitment to helping both buyers and pool owners speaks volumes about her understanding of the market.

Before officially opening the doors, Jaime and Billy attended training at the Pool Scouts headquarters in Virginia. Here, they learned not just about the business but also about the technical side of pool care—covering equipment, chemicals, and best practices. As Jaime put it, “When I say I did a deep dive in this business and analyzed it, I mean a deep dive—from the local operations to the franchise operations in Virginia.” This thorough approach laid the foundation for their operations moving forward.
Making a Splash in Business
Soon after their takeover, Jaime noticed an uptick in requests for repairs, having ramped up their offerings beyond just routine cleanings. In fact, for the month of June alone, there was an impressive 194% increase in repairs! With her hands-on management style, she made new hires, invested in advanced equipment, and emphasized effective communication with customers—ensuring they know their pools are in excellent hands.

Coverage areas for Pool Scouts include North Mississippi, Memphis, and surrounding areas like Collierville, Germantown, and Arlington. As the summer winds down, Jaime and her team are ready to assist with pool closings while keeping an eye on future openings as weather permits.
