MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A turbulent incident in the peaceful neighborhood of Cordova has left community members shocked after a woman was arrested for allegedly attacking her boyfriend. According to reports, the incident took place earlier this month on October 10, when police were called to a residence on the 2700 block of Davies Plantation Road.
As the story unfolds, the victim, who had been residing at his uncle’s house, described a chaotic scenario. He recounted that his girlfriend, Terriyana Bolton, showed up unannounced, on a search for a trashcan. He stated she even went to the extent of breaking the garage door to get inside the house.
It’s hard to imagine how startling that must have been! The victim confronted Bolton about her unexpected entrance, only to be met with aggression. Bolton reportedly came at him with not just a taser but also what he described as “sharp objects.” Things escalated quickly when he managed to knock the taser from her hand. In the midst of the confrontation, Bolton allegedly “poked him” in the side of the neck before turning the encounter even more violent.
Tragically, the situation turned dire when Bolton is said to have stabbed the victim in the neck and right arm, leaving him frightened for his life. Despite the chaotic circumstances, he managed to flee from the garage into the house, but Bolton was said to have followed closely behind, attempting to stab him again.
Luckily, the victim’s uncle stepped in just in time to intervene and stop the attack, which likely prevented even more serious injuries from occurring. The victim sustained three stab marks to his neck and a scratch on his arm but was fortunate enough to escape alive.
Following the frightening ordeal, Bolton was arrested by the Memphis Police. She now faces charges of Aggravated Burglary and Aggravated Assault. To add another layer to this troubling case, she is currently held on a bond set at $10,000. The implications of such actions are far-reaching and serve as a grave reminder of the potential for violence in relationships.
As this incident highlights attempts at conflict resolution gone wrong, it raises important discussions about safety, trust, and how we handle disputes in our relationships. The Cordova community has been left shaken, pondering how such aggression can erupt unexpectedly, reminding everyone of the importance of addressing conflicts before they turn violent.
We can only hope that the victim receives the support he needs for both his physical and emotional recovery. And as for Bolton, the path ahead will undoubtedly be fraught with challenges, raising questions about the underlying issues that led to such a reckless act.
With Halloween just around the corner, let’s all take a moment to remember that the spirit of the holiday is rooted in fun and festivity – a stark contrast to the tragic events that unfolded on that October day in Cordova. As the community comes together to support those affected and to reinforce local safety, let’s foster closer connections that can prevent such incidents from arising in the first place.
