Sponsor Our ArticlesHey there, Memphis! If you love sunny afternoons and warm weather, you’re in for a treat this week. The temperatures are set to soar back into the middle to upper 80s this afternoon, with those lovely partly cloudy skies hanging around to keep it interesting. Isn’t it amazing how quickly the weather can change? Just a little while ago, we were bundled up, and now it feels like summer is just around the corner!
These high temperatures are not just a pleasant surprise; they’re actually well above average for this time of year. In fact, we are reaching those record high temperatures that can take us by surprise as we get deeper into spring. But hold on – the weather is about to spice up a bit with some changes coming our way!
As we look toward the weekend, a cold front is inching closer to our charming city. This means we might see a few showers, especially in the first half of Saturday. We all know that a little rain can bring a much-needed refresh to our environment, so it’s not all bad news! Just be sure to have an umbrella handy if you have plans outside!
Weekend forecasts are looking a bit cooler, so you may want to adjust your wardrobe from those sunny shorts to something a little more layered. Highs will drop back down to the comfortably mild middle 70s and the lows will settle in around the middle 50s. That should feel refreshing after the warmth of the week! As Saturday rolls on, the passing showers should give way to drier conditions, letting us enjoy the rest of the weekend without a splash of rain. Ideal for a Sunday picnic, right?
Don’t get too used to the cooler temps, though, because next week looks like a warm return! By mid-week, we’ll find those highs climbing back into the 80s again. So if you have any outdoor plans for the week ahead, you might just want to plan on soaking up some sun! Just be prepared, as there will be a much better chance of rain rolling through late next week into the upcoming weekend. This next cold front could deliver some of that much-needed rain to the Mid-South, which is a relief for our gardens and grass!
So there you have it, Memphis! For now, enjoy the warm, sunny afternoons while they last, and keep an eye out for those weekend showers. Whether it be sun or rain, make the most of it! Be sure to stay updated on the weather as it can certainly keep things interesting!
Have a wonderful weekend ahead, and don’t forget to share your experiences with the weather. Whether you’re basking in the sun or dodging raindrops, it’s great to hear how everyone is enjoying this beautiful city!
