Exciting Upgrades Unveiled for Williamsburg Village in Memphis

Exciting Developments at Williamsburg Village in Memphis

Memphis is buzzing with excitement as the Williamsburg Village Shopping Center gears up for new improvements that promise to energize the neighborhood even further. Local developers are working hard to enhance this lively spot, making it increasingly attractive for residents and visitors alike.

A New Parking Lot Coming Soon

Boyle Investment Co. has recently acquired a half-acre lot at 777 Mt. Moriah Rd. for a hefty price tag of $1 million. This parcel of land, which used to be part of the Century Apartments, will soon serve a more tangible purpose: a new parking lot for Williamsburg Village. Mark Halperin, the Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Boyle, shared his enthusiasm for the project, stating, “By and large, things at Williamsburg are really doing well.”

Halperin anticipates that the new lot will create an additional 50 parking spaces, primarily benefiting the employees of the businesses located in the shopping center, which include favorites like Torchy’s Tacos, The Liquor Store, and Grivet Outdoors. Workers and shoppers alike can look forward to a more convenient parking experience, with the completion of the lot expected just in time for the holidays!

Making Pedestrian Safety a Priority

In addition to the parking improvements, Halperin has exciting news about a new crosswalk set to open soon on Mendenhall Road. “We think it’s going to help a lot,” he mentioned, pointing out that the necessary construction is in its final phases. The lights and signs are already in place, and the crosswalk should be operational very soon. This new addition aims to enhance safety for pedestrians moving around the bustling area.

The Vibrant Neighborhood Everybody Loves

Halperin loves to highlight how Williamsburg Village has genuinely transformed the energy in the region. “It’s going to make a really neat little neighborhood right there,” he said with a twinkle in his eye. With a variety of delicious options available, from donuts to fried chicken and, of course, tacos, it’s hard not to be excited about the culinary delights the area has to offer!

As Memphis continues to grow and evolve, plans are also underway for renovations of the nearby apartments, which could further enhance the neighborhood’s appeal. The new projects echo a broader trend of revitalization happening across Memphis, adding a fresh vibe to both existing and new developments.

Community Connections

The changes at Williamsburg Village are more than just physical. They represent the community spirit of Memphis, where local businesses, residents, and visitors come together to enjoy what the area has to offer. As new developments arrive, they also promote a sense of belonging and connection among all who frequent the neighborhood.

Halperin encourages everyone to visit Williamsburg Village to experience the growing community firsthand. “What more could you ask for?” he asks, referencing the delightful mix of eateries and shops available for all to enjoy. The investments made in both infrastructure and the local business scene are sure to contribute to a brighter future for this part of Memphis.
