Cheers to Memphis: Ninth Annual Wine on the River Set for October 5, 2024

Cheers to Memphis: The Ninth Annual Wine on the River is Coming!

If you’re in Memphis, you won’t want to miss out on one of the most anticipated events of the year! The ninth annual Wine on the River is set to take place on October 5, 2024, from 5 to 9 p.m. at the beautiful Tom Lee Park. This delightful occasion, presented by Lincoln of Memphis, is not just about sipping exquisite wines but also enjoying the vibrant sense of community that makes Memphis so special.

A Toast to Global Wines

This year’s theme is “Around the World,” where wine enthusiasts will get to taste wines from various national and international vineyards. So, whether you’re a connoisseur or just enjoy a good glass of red or white, there’ll be plenty to explore. Attendees can look forward to a fantastic selection of local food trucks and restaurants. You’ll be treated to mouthwatering dishes from local favorites like Trap Fusion, Smurfey’s Smokehouse, and the ever-delicious Ivory LeShore Bread Pudding, all ready to pair perfectly with your wine samples.

Dive Deeper with Tasting Hour

For those looking to enhance their experience, an exclusive Tasting Hour will be offered. This educational wine class is perfect for anyone who wants to learn more about the finer details of wine tasting and selection. Whether you’re aiming to impress at future dinner parties or simply want to deepen your appreciation, this session is a must.

Music, Laughter, and Good Vibes

No celebration in Memphis is complete without live music! Get ready to enjoy performances from the incredible Marcus Malone Band and the funky Lucky 7 Brass Band. Their energy will have you dancing and singing along, creating memories that will last long after the evening is over. Hosting the event will be the lively Big Sue from K97, along with other iHeartMedia Memphis personalities who will keep the atmosphere fun and engaging.

Pouring Love into the Community

While you indulge in all the fabulous offerings at Wine on the River, remember that this event also aims to give back. A portion of the ticket sales will support the local nonprofit, Door of Hope, which is dedicated to ending homelessness in Memphis. This organization works tirelessly to provide housing and support services for those in need, helping vulnerable individuals and families get back on their feet. Participating in this event not only treats your palate but also allows you to play a part in uplifting those who are often overlooked in our community.

Get Your Tickets Now!

Tickets for Wine on the River are already on sale, and they tend to sell out fast! Make sure to snag yours early. Here are a few important things to remember: this is a 21+ event, so leave the kiddos and pets at home. A valid photo ID is required for entry, and remember—there’s a clear bag policy in place, so bring along a bag that fits the required dimensions (no larger than 4” x 6” x 1.5”). Tickets must be purchased in advance through the official website as there will not be any available at the door.

Rain or Shine, We’re Ready to Celebrate!

Mark your calendars and get ready for a memorable evening filled with sipping, savoring, and supporting an excellent cause. Whether you’re a wine lover, a foodie, or just looking for a fun night out with friends, Wine on the River has something for everyone! Can’t wait to see you there—cheers to a wonderful event in Memphis!
